If anyone has some tips on the re-building of the steering coupler, I woould appreciate it. The few pictures I saw look like it is a pain in the butt. I had also heard that the crimp piece that holds it all together never works right. I would like some input before I attempt this and end up with it all in pieces and not completed correctly.
Thanks:)

Thanks for help ! Can I do this on the car or do I have to remove the steering box to get at it? Thanks eagleone 1983 and moparstuart

I think the original seal is a PITA. If you're not a purist, this new seal from Steer & Gear really works slick. It replaces the original seal and retainer. #2111 - redesigned Seal Boot Cover for steering coupling body. $18 plus shipping

It would be a hell of a lot easier to do it out of the car. Steering columns aren't hard at all to remove. I can't say how hard it is to install as I haven't done that yet. If you google "steering column mopar" Mopar Muscle Mag did an article on it that will walk you through the removal process.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Looks lik a bit of a project. Thanks for all the help.

Just rebuilt mine for the second time. Piece of cake with the column out of the car. First time around I purchased the repro rebuild kit, the one with the orange seal. PoS seal split in the first 30 miles.
Just did it tonite in 15 minutes using the Steer & Gear seal. It's totally not correct for stock look or purists, but fit the bill nicely for what I need it for.
Super easy job once the column is out of the car. And yes, if your original pin is good, leave it alone.
