Hey all,
I removed my column for a couple reasons.
One, Im going to convert to SCS cheetah floor shifter, so I either need to replace the column shift collar with a floor or manual one or cut it off, grind, sand, etc. to make it look nice.
Two, Im going with a power to manual steering conversion so I need to pull the shaft anyways and replace with the flaming river power to manual adapter shaft.
Everything was going pretty easy. Column came out with not problem. Popped off emblem and padded horn cover, took off horn ring, and shaft nut.
I picked up a rental steering wheel puller from autozone, but I dont see how this works. Where do the side bolts thread into?
Feel kinda funny asking this cuz Ive used a steering wheel puller plenty of times, but they were on newer cars. There is usually a few threaded bolt holes to put the side bolts. So....what am I missing here?
I can upload a pic to show you waht Im looking at if it helps.
Thanks guys.

there should be two female threaded holes on opposite side of the spline. about 1/4 - 1/2 inch away

Probably more than a few of us laughing at ourselves for doing the same thing-Mopar guys or not, we are all still human.
