Hello all, trying to get my 68 roadrunner ready for temp plates ,long story short no brake lights ,think I need new signal light switch ,problem steering wheel rusted on to spline .Anyone run into this???I have the nut off ,been soaking it with PB Blaster two days no luck ,steering wheel puller won't move it at all.headlights ,turn signals ,and parking lights work ,just no brake lights thanks Gregg

Did you first check the brake light switch at the pedal? It could be defective or simply need an adjustment.

If you're determined to pull the steering wheel there's a proven method. Attach and load up your puller with the nut threaded on the steering shaft about four threads. Tap on the end of the threaded puller shaft you just tightened then tighten it a half turn at a time after tapping on it some more. Continue doing this until the wheel pops off the splines. Do not damage the starting threads on the steering shaft. Nothing will mess up this job faster than a cheap puller that is not attached square to the steering shaft. Good luck!

And check that brake light switch first! You may not have to bother with pulling off the wheel.
