Hi all,

I am looking into changing out the steering wheel for something with a smaller diameter and some more meat to grip on.
I've seen the Tuff style series of steering wheels at Classic industry catalogue but it confuses me which adapter to choose from.
I does show a Tuff style adapter, but doesn't really state this fits the standard column.
And I am not sure if the cars that were originally equipped with a Tuff wheel have a different steering column.

I'd like to go with the 14" Flaming river Tuff style wheel, they offer an adapter for a Flaming river steering column which I don't have.
Also the horn is included with this so that saves me looking for another individual part.
Anyone could recommend me a proper kit to get this attached?

See my introduction posts for some pics of my current steering wheel.

Don't hold me to this since I'm definitely not a tuff wheel expert, but I think you might need something like this on your steering column.

By the way, your car has the "wood grain" steering wheel which is the most desirable steering wheel option in my opinion. It is a "matched set" with the steering column adapter just behind it.

The steering wheel really fits the car, but with it's big diameter and skinny wheel it's not comfortable at all to drive with. (might have to get used to it maybe)

Maybe I am able to use the currently installed adapter then for this?
Guess the fasteners are not really that far off, if what I will re-drill the bolt pattern in the steering wheel.
Just trying to make sure I get something that will fit and will have a functional horn with it.

What is the quality of the steering adapters provided with the Grant steering wheels?
Seeing these kits at eBay etc. but the column adapter looks a bit fragile.
I've seen topics where they used these but no comments really on the quality of the adapter.
As long as it's safe to use, of course a $150 billet adapter is top notch but if not required I will spend that money elsewhere.
