I guess if you buy a new truck in the future, that will be what the underpinnings look like, whether it's ICE or electric.

It's already under the 2025 Ram 1500, Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.

That's going to have at least four O2 sensors and I never want to change them. The exhaust pipes wrap underneath the transmission? No thanks.

Overall, no thanks.

I wouldn't even lease one; and I suspect their lease terms aren't going to be any good anyways.

Exhaust under the transmission won't be unfamiliar to anyone with an H pipe that goes under the transmission. I changed an O2 sensor once, it wasn't hard.

But I've never bought a brand new vehicle yet, and likely won't in future.

I assume the passenger side/right side frame crossover for the exhaust & it's exit
or split in the back for duals
is because in America the fuel fill, is on the drivers side of the vehicle
Japanese & some of Europe cars/truck have the fillers on the right side
Stelantis Engineers should have designed the cylinder head
so it didn't 'need any crossover' for a straight 6
have the exhaust port & pipe, going down & exit go out the right/passenger's side...

Must have been a retrofit/bean counter accountant BS
from European model/design or something
freaken' French & Dutch in charge

I guess with the American fuel fill on the driver's side, the exhaust had to go to the other....

First the conglomerate of mainly euro trash automakers have to build something that we “the US middle and lower class” would want and can afford to buy but IMO they are way off the mark. Wait until the owner of a hurricane has to have a thermostat replaced in any frame platform and sees the bill. They will then understand that this conglomerate doesn’t have a clue!!!! IMO!!!! Sorry for the rant I have just done 2 thermostats in as many weeks and it ain’t 2 bolts and a hose as a good ol V8 in a B body
