Sterring column question

Does any one know what the width or circumference of a 1966 coronet automatic column is? I am not able to get to my column to measure it. Any help is appreciated

If memory serves it's 2.5". But to know for sure take a piece of string, wrap it around the column one time and measure the length then divide by pi (3.1416).
