I need to upgrade the rear wheels and tires to get more power to the street. I have about 600 HP / 600 Torque and am looking to upgrade size (probably to 295 --- 325 x15s on a 10 inch rim) but need some opinions on what people's experiences have been with different brands / tires.

I am looking for the stickiest street tire that will still give me some wet weather traction. I am thinking some options are:

Hoosier Pro Streets
MT Sportsman S/R
MT ET Streets (not much wet traction here though)
Nitto 555R
Others?

Depends on what you want to do, is it more a street driver/cruiser than a strip car ?? if so, none of the drag radials are very good for handling at all or driving when it's slightest bit wet at all, they're all pretty much made for straight line performance... I've had M/T's & Comp TA drag radials, both worked well on a prepped track, neither lasted even 5k miles street driving, had about 20 1/4 mile passes on either sets... Even some old M/T Pro-Trac 18x33 Comp. sticky compound street tires, they had a much stiffer side wall {don't know if they are even still made}... I've never tried the Hoosier Pro Streets, I've had a few Hoosier Slicks in the past, with great luck/success... I've read some about the Nitto's, but have no personal experiances, mostly they never had the size I wanted anyway... Good luck with your Chioce...

I currently use the Mickey Thompson ET Street's and they really help tame my Mopar when I really get into the 850 double pump Holley. I have had the Hoosier Quick Time Pro's and they hooked really well too. I can't comment on either regarding thier peformance on wet roads but I don't think any drag radial is going to perform like an all season tire.

I run M&H DOT Radials and have pretty good luck with them. They wear fast and the car dances around a little more than regular radials but with a little heat they get sticky fast. I think M&H offers a good discount to members of this site as well.

I"m mostly hoping for a good street combination that will allow good hooking, but not something that I can't take out for a day cruise if it is going to get a little wet. Might have to invest in a 'dry' set for fun and and anotehr all season when the roads are wet.

BFG drag radial??

two sets for sure.no "street" slick will work worth a dam in any wet situation at all.have had good performance out of the bfg's and the hoosier"s.lots of new products out there i have not tryed as of yet.even saw a wrinkle wall street tire recently.prob gonna try mt et streets next(bias that require a tube)wont handle worth a dam but niether does my car.

Go with the MT ET streets, They are super sticky when you get them hot. Like they said wear out quickly on the street. Sucks if you have a one wheel peel diff like me. Oh well only have to buy one tire lol

I've always been a big fan of most anything M&H Racemaster makes.

I think the MT ET streets as a separate pair for local cruising and general ripping around is the way to go. Looking to get the 295 x 55 x 15 on a 10 inch rim and hope I can get a run in before the snow flies.

I drive too many miles and some in the rain like the way home from LA. Had to settle for street tires. 295/50 15's out back. 8 inch rim. Cooper Cobra. Decent grip. Looks bitchin with the 225/70 14's up front.
