Well...my rear main seal has been replaced, as well as the oil pan gaskets. My tech put it back together right, and it is still leaking. The only thing he could tell is that when he turned the engine over while installing the torque converter bolts, the compression was blowing the oil past the seal. That's the only thing he could think that would keep causing the seal to leak
Anyone have suggestions???

well....what did your TECH say?...compression blowing past the seal??...the new seal???? sounds like "blow -by "..new piston rings slick !

How is your engine ventilated? PCV and a breather? A couple of breathers? Vacuum pump?

it has a positive crankcase ventilation, and breather...when he pulled the pan, the oil that i changed 200 miles ago was dark, and shimmering...seems there might be a crank issue as well?

you would have to have some major blow by to cause a leak at the main seal.check for a pluged pcv or breather just to make sure, but i doubt it.you may have a groove in your crank from the old seal getting hard over time.ask your tech if he checked for any crank grooving before he installed the seal.it dosnt take much to cause a leak.even profesionals can screw up rear main installs.
