I still have the fender tag & broadcast sheet for this car. Wanted: I am looking for my old 70 Charger R/T. VIN # is XS29U0G163521. It was a black on black 440 Auto, 8-3/4" car with hardly any options. Manual steering, manual brakes, no side scoops, no strip. I bought this car when I was 15 back in 1985 before I was old enough to drive. It was my first car. It was totaled by a hit & run drunk driver. My insurance company totaled it out back in 1989 or 1990. Too much $$$ to fix. It was bought back at an auction & repaired poorly. They offered it back to me. But I already bought my current 70 R/T S.E. I was wondering if someone out there now owns it. It was last seen but last owner who bought it from the shop who repaired it so poorly in the Redford/Dearborn Michigan area in the early 90's. Last I heard it is up near the U.P. still here in Michigan & may be owned by a gentleman named Louie.
If you know of a Charger near you or own one please PM me or call 1-313-505-7948 Thanks Jay.

Latest story I heard is that the car is still up in the U.P. here in Michigan somewhere. There guy bought it minus engine & trans. I still have the #'s matching trans for this car. It was a #'s matching engine in this car when I had it so I am not sure why someone pulled it out. I was told it was removed & put in some sort of mud bogging truck later on.

Current owner had a garage fire & pushed the car out of the garage. The car is currently in grey primer & the engine bay, door jams & trunk was all cut in with FC7 Plum Crazy Purple since he never had the fender tag to know it was a factory TX9 Black car (which I still have the fender tag). Everything else for the car that was not bolted on the body or in the car was lost in the fire.

He has lost all interest & pushed it out back into a one car size shed just barely large enough to fit the roller of the car into & there it has sat now for many years. A third person party claims to have seen the car & confirmed the VIN 7 says it is my old car. However, the current owner has no interest in selling or talking to me or anyone else about the car. I was told he said it can just sit in the shed & rot to the ground for all he cares. Being that this was my first car I want it back & have not given up yet.

Side scoops were standard equipment on an 70 R/T, wondering why yours didn't have them

This car had hardly any options what so ever. I did have another 70 R/T low option car that did not have the door scoops either??? Hard to say if over they years they were removed, holes filled & cars were repainted. Never cared that much to remove the door panels & look inside the doors to verify if they were supposed to have them or not?

Still in search of my first car XS29U0G163521.

I keep getting stories this car still exists. Still interested in buying it back. Wonder if current owner reads any of these massage boards or not.

I bet it was pulled because the fender tag and broadcast sheet were missing from the car.

Seriously I’ll keep an eye out for it here at car shows.
