I was just alerted by phone by Phil Roar , and just seen on the 6 o'clock news that "The Smith Brothers Racing" 67 Plymouth R-O car was stolen from it's trailer early this morning or last night. It is black with red on the sides and is an NHRA & IHRA known racer. Runs 9.40's in legal trim. Danny Smith is the owner of the car and it was stolen from in front of their shop in Groveport, Ohio. Be on the lookout. There are many pictures of this car here on this site and others. Formally know as "The Madia Brothers" and "The Pringle Brothers" car.

Aw man.....I love that car, and Danny is a great/fun guy. Unbelievable.

Aaron Kaufman from Gas Monkey Garage just had his girlfriend's Tahoe stolen. The GMG guys out the word out on Facebook and someone spotted it in the Dallas area and called the police. They had already swapped the rims out and were getting ready to make some more changes when the cops rolled in.

Hopefully social media will find this car too.

The car was found tonight parked on Parsons Ave. here in Columbus shortly after the news broadcast. Happy day.

Good news. I would have hated hearing it was destroyed or lost.

Man that scared the Crap out of all of us. I'm glad Danny got it back.

What a surprise it ended up on the South Side.

Who ever it was knew what they were doing. The car was in the transporter with the back door backed up to the old shell of a 64 car setting there.
Squeak told dad that the crooks moved the old car and then opened the trailer and unloaded the car.
The crazy thing is the car was in a Stacker so it's pretty complex as far as opening the back door and unloading the car... it's not like it's a 24' tag, it needs power to open the door so you had to know what you were doing.

Word has it there was a little body damage but everything is in tact.

Thanks
