strut bushings

Does the LCA need to be removed to replace strut bushings on my 66belvedere?

you will have to back the LCA out enough to slip the strut rod out. you don't have to completely remove it , but you will have to remove the torsion bar retaining clip and back the whole assembly out some. take all the pressure off the torsion bar adjuster bolt etc etc

So I should replace ball on seal if needed?
