Working on the front end of the 68 Satellite and ran into a problem with the strut rod bushing sleeves. The PST poly kit came with parts labeled 66-76 A body. I called them and they claim they will also fit the 62-78 B body. Anybody know for sure. I thought they would be a slip fit, if they go on they will have to be pressed.

fishy smell

That PST Poly Strut Rod kit you received sounds fishy to me? Besides the poly bushings usually squeek and drive you crazy. I'd return them to PST and buy rubber ones from another company. A good source for them is Firm Feel. As I recall they are located in Washington State.

I've used the poly kit from PST before and really don't have a problem with it. The lube provided takes care of the squeak and the parts seem to last. The last rubber kit I installed the bushings started to dry rot in about 5 years. I need to check with another parts supplier about the size of these strut rod bushings. Thanks for your reply

Just got the sleeves on the strut rods. I had to clean up the shaft area were the sleeve slides on. Just polished the area, greased the shaft and drove them on with a socket. They were the correct bushings. A couple different suppliers list 1 part no. for all A,B,and E bodies.

Hmm, I got the moog "improved design" bushings, and didn't have to drive them on.

...but I also put in Mancini 13/16 strut bars, cause mine were bent.

No, they're just larger in diameter..
