I started taking apart my '66 Charger front end for bushing repair (and lots of other things) and found the front right squeak. The sway bar is shifted to the left and link was rubbing on the strut rod. Take a look at the pic. Do I need a new rod or is this ok to ignore?

It's a solid piece without any twist against it. Just push/pull. Smooth it down with some emory cloth and use it. If that was a t-bar, chuck it and get new

They usually only get ruined if someone puts a chain around them to yank the car out of a ditch, or hit hard in that area.

They can get bent as well, likely from people doing "Dukes of Hazzard" type stunts.

They can also be straightened without much work in a press.
