I replaced the rubber strut rod bushings (cracked/torn) on my 1962 Savoy with polyurethane bushings from Springs n' Things.
The FSM states "with the vehicle on the ground, torque the nut(s) to 40 foot-pounds."
1) Would the torque spec. be the same for poly. bushings?
2) Would over-tightening the nut(s) create stress/binding of the lower control arm(s)?
Thanks

There should be a steel sleeve in the middle. So yes torque them up, and no you arent going to wreck anything. Most important part is tightening them while at ride level.
