Seems as if everywhere I look I only find sub frame connectors for 66 and up for B Bodies...does anyone know where I can find them for a 65 B Body? Do they make them?

Thanks.

Unless you are looking for the kind that contour to the floor, make your own. Get some 3x2 box section cut to length and weld it in. You can cut a 2 inch wide section from the floor and fit the section to weld it to the floor as desired if you wish

You can get them from US CAR TOOL LLC. <[email protected]>. I have a set on my 62 Dodge Dart and will be putting them on my 64 Plymouth Savoy. You can also get front and rear torque boxes. This whole set up will really stiffen up your car and are pretty easy to install.

I also bought mine ( frame connectors, torque boxes, etc.) from US Car Tool and was very pleased with the quality. Also I have checked with Auto Rust Technicians and although they only list from 66 on up I emailed them and they said they could do stuff for a 65 if I wanted but I would need to call and talk to them in person to place an order. Good luck, Al

USCartool customer here. The best, easy fit connectors and have transformed the ride, handling, door and panel fit. Factory look to the untrained Mopar eye.

U.S. Car Tools makes frame connectors that are very nice. I have a set installed in my 1965 Dodge Coronet. I made some adjustments to make them fit better but they are great...

I made these frame connectors. I made a template of the floor and used 2 X 4 and went from there. That was before hearing about the US tool ones that you can buy now. I also inserted an angled tube for the e-brake cable to run through on the one side I recall. Was about 5 years ago. image.jpg

Looks great! Looks like US tool will save me from having to make them myself! Contacted them yesterday.

I saw that MALEX has picture of connectors while on a rotisserie. Article stated that weight should be on wheels. My car's body is also on a rotisserie, minus doors, trunk lid, etc. Can sub frame connectors be added like this, or should doors etc. be put back on? Thanks

I have fab'd these connectors before on the rotisserie with no problems in any way. I'll attach a pic or two to endorse.

In the case of my 64 it is stripped, structurally solid and I'm replacing a connector with a new one.

Should a car be assembled there would be some flex and the car would need to be supported at the axles, same as during quarter panel replacement.

With your car being on a rotisserie I suppose you could spin it upside down and do a precise measurement and then again at 180 and check. Would be good to see if your getting some flex.

When adjusting fender gaps on an assembled car a fellow can increase / decrease gap by jacking so there certainly is some amount of flex.image.jpg

nice DIY Malex....

Thank you Mosquito!

U.S Car Tool connectors on my 64 Belvedere, little trimming required but nice overall fit.
I am very satisfied with them.
