The Background Story:
When i bought this car from a forum member here, I thought I would have the car for a very long time. I bought the car in August of 2014. I already had one toy in the garage, so I immediately put the Mopar in a friend's garage to store while I was in the process of selling the other. Well, it took longer than I thought to sell the other car, so I didn't bring the Mopar home until Oct of 2015. That's when my world came crashing down. To my dismay, the Mopar barely fit in may garage. The front bumper is approx 3 inches from the front wall and the rear bumper is approx 4 inches from the garage door. Not a big deal you might say, but with my son's toys, bikes, scooters and everything else in the garage it is. I guess some could say shame on me for not measuring, but oh well, I guess I learned a life lesson!
So, this is the only reason the car is for sale. The fact that it doesn't fit well in my garage!!
Details:
All of the following details are based upon the previous owners forum ad. The forum member I bought it from said he had a folder of receipts to go with the car, but for one reason or another they were never given to me.
-Rotisserie Restored, extremely straight body panels on the repaint. The paint is not perfect, but in my opinion nothing is perfect, but the paint is very nice.
-Rechromed bumpers
-low mile ( 77,***) 3 owner car.
-Engine 1970 Bock .030 440, forged pistons, Purple Shaft Cam, Engine has 1000 miles on it since rebuild.
-Transmission Rebuilt 727, Shift kit
- 8 ¾ sure grip with 323 gears, rear-end removed sandblasted and detailed
-Interior is very nice with new Legendary covers, new headliner, carpet
- Power Steering
- Manual 4-wheel drum brakes that stop well and don't pull in one direction
The car is located in a western suburb of Chicago, and because of the winter weather has been stored in my garage as to not let the snow and salt get to it.
Before being turned into a Roadrunner it was a Satellite. The car runs and drives very well. It looks as though a lot of money has been spent restoring this car. All the work was done by a previous owner and it is ready to drive.
This car is priced to sell at $17,500
Please contact me with any questions or if you would like to see any specific pics. I will post engine pics as soon as I can.
Thank you for your time!
