Super Coupe Wheels on a Magnum GT?

[MAGNUM GT XS22L9R]

OK, I just purchaced a set of SuperCoupe wheels that are 15x8. I was
wondering if anyone has added this size rim to there Late B's? I'm most
concerned with the steering? Is there enough clearance for a slightly
larger rim? Thanks for the help!

Stock 1978-79 Magnum GT Rallye rims are 15x7.

Yeah, that's what I was looking for when one of my
members turned me on to these rims with them?!
I couldn't believe my eyes? They were SuperCoupe 15x8's
Wheels with an asking price of only $150.00. I talked him
down to $135.00 plus $100.00 Shipping?!
I've been running two Magnum GT wheels on the drivers
side and two Painted cop wheels on the other? :angry1:
Finally a matching set!
Here are the trim rings for them.

I probably got ripped off, the center caps are missing most
of there screws? lol

i love those deep trim rings, im still needing 2 for my 15x7s . i could buy them new, but im a cheap *** LOL , you got a screaming deal. the last set of SC wheels i saw for sale where 450 + the ride !

Finally got them mounted! Put them on my black GT today!

They added an inch to the depth, now the trim rings no longer hug the
back of the rims like on the 15x7's. The tires seemed to even fit better
on the 15x8's? They look meatier and the white lettering looks to be
angled better!!!

i was kinda thinkin' the same thing...been looking for new set of rims for the olde Plymouth, but i don't want something run-of-the-mill.

sounds like these are impossible to get though, eh?

Look over at forfmjbodiesonly.com, they came on 1978 Aspen & Volare Kit Cars and Super Coupes. There are a couple on Ebay right now. They're hard to find and are usually pricey.

Factory Magnum GT wheels are only 15x7's, Super Coupe/Kit Car wheels are 15x8's so if he found them in 8's they are Super Coupe wheels. Measure from inside rim lip to lip to get size. Out side measurement will add an inch. If the part number next to the valve stem is 3880858 they are true 15x8's

Pictured: Super Coupe 15x8 with tire and a Magnum GT 15x7 rim next too it. Big difference in depth

Sorry, I looked all over for the extras I had. I must have thrown them
out when I moved out of the shop? heck, I can't believe I didn't even
keep one for my spare??!
