I used Sta-Lube 85/90, but had some 1-2 gear clash when cold. The Pennzoil Syncromesh fluid solved that.

Sta lube

Yep, bought a gallon of that stuff last time from him and that's what is in there now.

I know there's probably better stuff out there that helps slick these 4 speeds up. I think even Leno talked about some product
the mechanics had talked him into that made a real difference in the '70 Challenger hemi he has, so much so that he had all
his stick cars change over to it, just can't remember what it was?

Can't remember the wt. but I now use the royal purple light wt. synthetic stuff I think 19$ a bottle in the 18 spline trans. and I use a different mixture in the dana 60. All a lighter wt. stuff supposed to make us go FASTER! Think I gave dang near a 120$ for it all a oreillys. We will see how she holds up.

Sta-Lube GL-4. Anything with sulfur in it will damage brass or bronze parts.

I have no problem with StaLube quality either if it meets the spec
a lot depends on where you live Phoenix vs Wisconson
