I am about to lower my 1969 Road Runner by rearching the rear springs by 2 to 3 inches. Can I adjust the front Torsion bars the same amount? I know I am going closer to the bump stops, all my other cars are lowered as well.

You can adjust the the bars not sure how much you can go(tires and wheels etc) just give it a try until you get the desired results. You can do this before you replace the rear springs to see how much and measure from there for your springs for a match height. Good luck post some pics of you car.

You can you'll have to shave the bump stops, and it would be good to add to the shock mount.

You'll be better off using sliders at the rear and losing the shackles than re-arching and using a block if you desire more drop.

Hotchkis rear springs come with a new hanger that drops the rear end an inch.

For the front you can turn the adjuster bolt out for the desired drop. I echo Supershafts and you may want to shave the bump stops some. Don't forget to get an alignment after it is all said and done.

I have been told that with stronger torsion bars (1.03's or larger), you can run as little as .5 of an inch between the bump stops on the front and hardley ever if ever hit the stops. You can always shave them some also.
