Swap from 8 3/4 to dana drive shaft length

Swapping my 70 roadrunner 8 3/4 to a 70 dana does any one no if drive shaft length is same ,the rear is being rebuilt and havent taken any measurments

You'll need a shaft that about 1" shorter...but do a mock up first before cutting or take actual measurements once the Dana is in.

I did that swap in my '70 roadrunner too. I had the driveshaft cut 1 1/10 inches shorter. I could have used 1 1/8 but stuck to what the tape said. It fit fine.

What's the difference between a Dana shaft and any other heavy duty shaft that came in the Mopar high performance lineup?

You don't need a Dana drive shaft, I didn't use one. However, the universal joints are different sizes. You need a combination u-joint to put the 8 3/4 driveshaft onto the Dana 60. (I don't remember the dimensions right now or I'd post just the singe u-joint)

Dana uses the same shaft and joints as the 8.75 in an HP car but is about 1-1/8" shorter. Non-HP 8.75 will have the smaller joints.
Soooooooo 777 you should just have to shorten your RR shaft.

just did this today yes bigger u joint and a shorter shaft the dana housing and pinion snout sticks out more then the 8 3/4
