Moving along on our father/son project car(1962 Plymouth Savoy) we decided to take the block and rotating assembly to get machine work done. Hoping for the best.

45$ to dip it
28$ plus parts for new freeze plugs
30$ plus parts for cam bearings
5$ per cylinder to hone them
25$ to check all clearences

$133, that's not bad. I was expecting worse. Good Luck with the rest.

Old school mom and pop machine shop. No high tech gadgets. Comes highly recommend by friend of mine who is very particular about who does anything for his car.

Ya the prices are better than we have around me n.e. Ohio, where are you?

Did you already have another thread started on this car?
And why not a mag/crack check on the block?
