So I'm trying to drain my 1967 charger gas tank by syphon. I even purchased the FlowJoe - GasTapper Standard 12V Fuel Transfer Pump. The problem is I have yet to make contact with gas from my tube. I just assumed the line would follow the gas tank filler tube the short distance into the tank. It also feels like I am hitting resistance with the tube. What's going on?

The hose has to make some tight turns, and probably hitting hose connections. Put an angle cut on the end of your tube, and ram that SOB in there.

I had the same problem. I disconnected the hose at the fuel pump and it drained pretty much completely
