Can someone please explain the "tagged" radiator? What I'm referring to is an OEM factory stamped Chrysler radiator without the part number stamped (embossed) onto it, which has a stamped tag brazed onto the tank instead. In my case it's P/N 2949054, which is correct for my car....kinda strikes me as odd, but I'm told is 100% factory issue.

Do you have a photo of it that you can post?

Does it look something like this?

Yes, It's exactly like that! Cool, thanks for sharing that.

Well, I don't think its legit. I removed the 055 tag and the number stamped into the top tank that is underneath the 055 tag is a much later radiator, something from the mid '70's. So this could not possibly be a correct radiator for my car. What is extremely strange about all this is, mine is ALSO from a '69 Coronet R/T. I am assuming yours is also, considering your forum name.

I would suggest you remove the top tag to check the number underneath. You can easily put the tag back on, some heat and solder is all it takes. I would be interested to know what the tank number is underneath yours.
