The silver paint is coming off the plastic on my 64 Polara's backup light assemblies. I took the small 3/8" nuts off inside the trunk but it seems to be very firmly in place.... what other bolts or clips are holding these individual light assemblies in place? I ran searches on here but no joy...... thanks....

Do they look like these?

The entire panel needs to be removed from the car, then the individual lamp removed from the panel with Phillips screws.

I have the same project lined up and haven't done it yet, but it appears the Phillips screws are accessible through little cutouts in the corners..
