Hey there, guys. Long time no see.
So my 67 Belvedere is giving me problems now with my tail lights.
I don't know if the kid who had it before me re-wired anything installing that stupid stereo, but the wires leading to the tail lights look untouched, so I hope that's not related.
The issue:
When my headlights are not on (and thus my tail lights aren't either) and I press the brake, they both light up. Good.
Both blinkers work fine. Good.
When my headlights are on, my tail lights both light up. Also good.
BUT when my lights are on and I press the brake, my left tail light goes out. Not good. And quite confusing.
So I need suggestions. I'm not really into doing electrical, but I'm up for trying anything relatively simple. Otherwise, I have no problem sucking it up and finding someone to figure it out for me if I'd more than likely screw things up more by trying myself.
Any ideas?

In other news, my throttle cable was getting stuck wide open last week, I hoped it was just a return spring on the carb. Turns out the motor mounts had come loose so the engine was rotating and pulling against the throttle cable, holding it wide open. That was a trip. The thing broke loose in a parking lot and I took off at about 45 MPH over six or seven speed bumps before I killed the engine. That was a trip!
Replaced all the motor and transmission mounts and now she drives like new.
