Tailight Bezel refinishing

Anyone here had their tail light bezels refinished? Mine have some pits and I would like to restore them to like new vs buying reproductions. Anyone have any experience? There is a painted surface on the inner portion of the bezels as well.

I did. Had them chromed, the masking took the longest, scuffed and painted with light argent from Totally Auto. I like them

Pauls Chrome a little spendy But they do excellent work!They advertise in Hemmings Motor News!You will have to detail them!

That looks super nice. I love how you kinda sorta by "accident" slid the HEMI emblem in the shot. Nice touch. lol
 
yep and you're probably better off buying repos. They are potmetal and expensive as hell to rechrome right unless you don't mind whatever imperfections that the metal may have to show up on your chrome job. I didn't so I just had a guy chrome them so there are some spots that show where the pitting used to be. Then you have to tape them up and spray them yourself. It sounds harder than it actually is, it's just time consuming to tape.
 
can you tell the repros from the original parts? Meaning how good is the quality?
 
When I saw them at the Mopar Nationals at Mike's tent I couldn't tell the difference.
