Tailpipes and fuel filler neck issues anyone?

Went and had gtx style exhaust tips put on my 67 charger. Not too happy with it to be honest. I did it for two reasons one I like the way the tips look even though they never came on the car. Two the tti tail pipes, to me, always seemed to end to short before the rear bumper and the exhaust at speed seemed to come into the passenger compartment too much for my taste and my 8 year old complained.

Well ill after making the appointment and getting the exhaust tips I see that the fuel filler neck is in the way in the passenger side. To clear it one would have to have the pipes and tips 2-3 inches from the bottom of the car. Tacky lookin.

But not nearly as tacky looking to me as the kick up to get my new tips on. Anyone have pics of what they did. I gave the shop save the tti tips and cut back a bit so I can get them put back on but if anyone has pics id love to see

I never could figure out what kind of drugs they were taking when they designed that system. There really is no room for a proper exhaust system back there short of modifying the heck out of something.

Thanks man. I dont like the look of the tips being so far down from the bumper.

Then again I dont like the looks of my tips kickin up so..

Im gonna hack it off and put the tti tail pipes back on and just dump it before the filler neck like it was.

there is the thickness of a finger between the tips and the bumper and mine stick out an inch and half beyond the bumper.
