Can you run a team G 440 intake on a Victor Max wedge headed 440

The one I saw was not on a Max Wedge port size head AFAIK, and I know the owner of the car, and I am 99% sure of the port size FWIW.

I'm using a team g on a 440, with 906 heads , to be replaced soon with rpm's. I also have a couple of sets of iron max heads. I very much doubt that there is enough meat to open up to max dimensions.
I have a tm7 that is opened up to a small max port but it has had substantial welding at the top of the ports at the head face, and still isn't ported deep enough into the manifold to blend really well.

you would be better off with a Edelbrock Performer RPM at minimum to take advantage of those Victor Head's, Super Victor intake is the perfect match for your M.W heads but I understand about Hood clearance, that Team~G really isn't a Good manifold, here's a write up they did on 14 deferent Manifold's including Team~G

Very interesting comparison. BTW on my TM6 I welded up the outside gouges & ground the inside of intake runners straight. Very good performance. Also 6 Pacs work great when you work the issues out of them. I got my 6Paks to work really well.

Per the write-up in hot rod, my team g has had the bumps in the ports removed, and a little further rework. It now runs better than the original torker I had on before. Still won't work with a max wedge port though.

6 Pacs work great when you work the issues out of them. I got my 6Paks to work really well.

It's a big deal for me to read, learn, see all of the ways the Chrysler/Edelbrock 6bbl intake can be tweaked for best performance because I am using it on whatever the combo (stroker, or just stock stroke) 6XX HP and Torque motor I wind up with in my V-Code Roadrunner. Because it's a V-Code, I am 100% going to have 3x2 of "something" (possibly TBI) atop the Chrysler/Edelbrock intake, and I can use my N96 Air Grabber too.
I have seen the dyno pulls and numbers that @IQ52 has achieved with the 6bbl atop a stroker. Also since I am going for well into 6XX torque and hoping for 600HP, using the TF240s, that all goes well with the 6bbl setup.

They always manage to compare sixpacks against the very best four barrel carb/intake combos they can find, and yet an almost 50 year old combo comes off well.
How about a comparison with a 50 year old iron intake and a 600 afb?
When I first got my a12 car, I put a 600 Holley on a torker on it just to get it running while I went through the sixpack. At riverside drags, (late eighties) the sixpack was a full half second quicker than the 600.

I ran many different intakes on my 440 & 452 low decks. The TM 6's & TM 7's were great with my 4781 Holley DP after much tuning effort.. My Wieand tunnel rams with 4776 DP ran great with a little tuning effort. The 6 Pacs took effort. Just pulling the end carb idle screw plugs & giving 1/4 to 1/2 more opening made a ton of improvement. Then going under the end carb throttle body & giving 1/4 turn more throttle opening. My best set of 6 Pak carb's were '70's. Don't know why.

I read that a lot.
I don't even know what "year" my 3x2 Holley carbs are. I took some pix of various numbers in the body of the carbs, and other places, but I don't know how to tell what year they are.

My limited experiences with the RB TG-4150 intake showed that it really wasn’t the good of a piece.

If you want that style intake to use with MW ports and a 4150 carb, use the Indy 440-2(for RB) or the Mopar 337.

Yeah I'm just going to go out and buy another Max wedge Port Victor intake I just wanted to try my 1000 cfm HP Holley I got a 1050 dominator and a super Victor so I guess I'm buying another Victor

Not exactly true. The team G can be moded pretty easy. I reworked one (flow bench tested) , along w/ a torquer 2 . Both flow about the same "325" range now, with only about 25 cfm scatter between the runners. The team G has a huge plenum, and works well on my 505" wedge. They both will support 600 h.p. , but I run the torquer 2 because the team G is about 1/2" taller, and everything is set up for it on my car.
You can run a standard port intake on a max wedge head , it wont be quite as good as a maxy intake tho. Mine are both port matched to cnc`d standard port victor type heads that flow 354 @.600. Both intakes will out flow an original max wedge set up-----------
Both intakes are still a choke point for my engine tho.
A victor intake is taller than a team G too, else I`d have one , or a new trick flow.
I can`t see an rpm being anything but a street intake on a stroker. I wouldn`t even consider it w/ 1200 cfm throttle body..
All this being said, my only 2 runs were a flop, car qualifies for a dog, no front end lift and spinning badly. Needs way more initial bite than the caltracs and 295 65 15 drag radials provide.-----11.90`s spinning.

AFAIK, the only MW size manifold Edelbrock offers is the Super Victor, which only comes in a 4500 version.
