My poor old tired TF727 tranny is leaking, it appears to be coming from the shift pin seal where it goes into the case, is there a way I can reseal this without having to pull the tranny?

Thanks for any suggestions.

yep, pull the pan and valve body out then knock the old seal out with a screwdriver and hammer, get a piece of threaded rod and two large washers ans nuts, use that to tighten the new seal in place after u get it lined up, pretty easy

there is also a small seal around the kickdown shaft, that most people dont replace. converter leaks down into the pan when car sits and fliud finds it's way out through that seal also.
KD tools makes a tool to remove and replace the selector seal, I have never tried to replace the kickdown seal while the VB is in the car.
I will see if i have that seal in my tool box and snap a picture

I don't think that seal can be done n the car.No room to move especially with headers:sad4:

You can replace the seal but it still might leak. Reason is the ear on the valve body that supports the shift selector doubles as a bushing and it's probably wallowed out so the shaft moves more than the seal can handle.
