I am a new member on this board. Restoring a 1969 GTX. Also have a 1971 Barracuda that runs at BIR once in awhile. That one ran 12.29 in Qt mile with 440, stock manifolds, 906 heads, avs carb and cast iron intake.

I am working on my 1969 GTX I have owned since 1989 when I bought it as a basket case. Tennessee car. I installed 2 new quarters. Trunk and floor boards were good. Making it into a "Pure Stock Drag" type car. 12:1 compression with a "Stock type cam" It will run Magnum 500 rims and Redline tires. Work in progress. Etching primer is on vehicle now. Engine bay painted and engine and tranny are in the car. Was a typical green car, now going to be black.

Thanks for a great site!:hello2:

Couple more photos, 1969 gtx restoration

Did some more etch primer last night. I still need to get the left front fender better at the outward body line. This fender was a joke before I started.
