Hey guys, I did it! I got my 62 DIRT on the road. Used my crappy front fenders and some bondo and a shot of primer,to make it look presentable. Now has all new brakes, disc up front off of a 1980 Cordoba, dual chamber master from MP, all new lines and flex hoses. Just patched left front foot well temporarily . My son Clayton stepped up to the plate and blessed me with a brand new pair 15x4.5 torque thrust D's for the front, and I'm running 205/70R/15 on them and 255/70R/15 on the back with 15x7 cop cars.Tried to get it on the road for Moparfest last weekend, but ran into some bugs, thermostat and hoses weren't enough, new rad arrives tomorrow, then the cruising begins! Pics will follow tomorrow, haven't been on for a while, a little busy lol

Yep, the only way to go. I have more fun in my POS Valiant ! Don't have to worry about where to drive or park.
Gotta get us photos of your car !!!!!!

I am guessing that you intentionally used the word DIRT instead of Dart, right? The letter I is on the other side of the keyboard so I figure it was done on purpose.

Yes it was kerndog, still working out bugs, working lots of hours on it. I know I promised pics but, will do so Wednesday nite . Having a blast working on it, it's been too long since I worked on a rear drive mopar of my own , I'm loving it!

Hey guys, sorry it took so long to get some pics up of the dirt.Been real busy pulling wrenches and actually forgot how to post them. It's been a long haul to get it this far, still got a long way to go,but having a blast. It ain't easy building a ride out of someone else's parts car, when you don't know what parts they took.lol. Like the sending unit for the gas tank, all the fuses. It's been a lot of fun,and I promise to keep a better log of the progress from here on in. got one more show next Saturday , then the season is over up here and the aluminum head 440 gets assembled, newer 8 3/4 with 391 gear and frame connectors with new floor pan. But first a little sleep..

Nice and a more door too !! Keep posting more as you go.We will be watching.
