After a looooonng expensive winter project, I finally got the Beeper back on the road. I rebuilt and extensively pumped up the motor, faceplated the TKO 600, put 4.56 gears in the Dana and relocated the battery to the trunk which required rewiring pretty much the whole car. She runs like a champ and fries the tires into 4th. Loving it! See video link below.

WOW. She looks and sounds great. Congrats!

Let's seethe body on that baby. The motor looks real sweet. Glad to hear every thing went well.

Thanks guys..... This is the 3rd motor in a year. None of them ran the way I wanted them to. This one I did myself and couldn't be happier.

ok im did not watch the vidoe yet as I am on my lunch break at work, and i also have a 73 TX9 340 roadrunner, I have to ask what is it 360 340 stroker?

Ok i get it now 440 cube small block 2 fours i love a lot of the touches you've done, the yellow interior piping is stunning, the narrowed bumpers, chin spoilers. More small block then i could ever dream of, I'm building an old school 8 bolt forged mopar crank 367 stroker for my 73.

Looks great! I have (or now my son does) a 73 Lemon Twist Road Runner with a 340. Great car...

Thanks.... I welded in 71 side marker light pockets too. Those were a b!tch.

Yeah it's an R3 Siamese bore 4 bolt main race block. 4.185 bore X 4" stroke = 440.18ci.

I had dual quads on it with the previous 2 motors (hence the +8) but decided to go with a single QFT R950 this time. Couldn't be happier with it. Single 4 runs sooooooo much better.

Good luck with your project!!!

Is the Beeper going to make it to the Mopar show in Minneapolis this weekend? I know Fargo is a bit of a drive but I would love to see this car in person!

Well, I took her to the street legal days yesterday..... Best time was 11.8 @ 118mph on over pressurized street tires and running WAYYYYYY lean on the top end. A little tuning and some taller drag slicks and I'm hoping to break into the 10's. Here is a video.... He got the jump on me but I blew him away on the big end.
I'm running a face plated TKO 600 5speed BTW. Catching rubber all the way down.
