This might sound trivial...
I’m not big on shaving, But for those who do shave regularly, the cost of having to replace your blades every week can add up. Seriously, why are tiny little razors so damn expensive?

What's going on with razor blades & disposable razors prices? If you buy the cheap ones, you pay with pain.........First there was 1 blade razor & now their up to 3 blade razors....I use Gillete Mach 3 Turbo with the replacement blades.....They don't last long & are not cheap......

Might be time to grow a beard........

I use the wilkenson. They are the cheapest. I dont know what the fancy name is, but the replacement blades come in an orange box. 5 bucks for four blades. I agree with your "trivial" post.

Agreed, razor prices have went up prolly 300% over the last 10-15 years...and they aint no better than they were 10-15 years ago, just a fancy name and colors...

Another one....automotive light bulbs, just your run of the mill 1157's/904's and whatnot...I remember when they were like $.99 for a pack of 2....

now, they are like $6+ a pack...ummm...what happened there..? :angryfire:

Must be the shipping charges from China.

Use a straight razor.....

Yeah, I would find a razor that I liked, then after I ran out of the heads, I would go to the store to find out that nothing fit the handle anymore. I just buy disposable ones now, not really happy with them, I don't care how many blades they put in them.

I`m not kidding when I say my ordinary Mach 3 blades last for ages.

I`m no kid at 47 but do admit I don`t have the most problematic stuble but with that said usually get around 2 Months out of one blade shaving once a day in the morning....... True!

I put it down to using hot water, shaving gel as opposed to foam and most importantly massaging it in WELL with a shaving brush.

I use the schick disposables.

$5-$6 bucks for 4, and sometimes you get 6 or 8 as a bonus.

Work just as good as the Mach II I used to use, but a lot cheaper.

I tried some of the off brands, and even Bic, but not as good as those Schicks.

My stepson is in the consumer rip-off hell of fancy razors.

He's got the vibrating battery powered one, the squirting one, the cologne filled one, and the 5 blade one.

Some of the blades are over $12 for 4 refills!!!

No sh@t, I agree. I tend to use mine until the absolute most painful last minute.
When they start ripping out whiskers instead of cutting them, I start thinking about buying new ones.

I use a beard trimmer now and then........... replaced my 1st one about 2 years ago... had a beard llllooooonnnnggggg time

My Phillips electric rechargeable shaver just keeps on working year after year. :)

Lol. Was having this very conversation with a few buddies the other night. Unfortunately I'm one of those people who shave in the morning and come afternoon it's growing back again. Why are blades so expensive. Cheaper quality razors = more fuel in the car.

I use Mach 3 razor, shave everyday. I make a blade last a least 2 months, when it starts to hurt I switch blades. Used to change them every two weeks but that was costing way to much.

Light beard. As a matter of fact, it is trained to go into the goatee and "stache". At 40ish, I can say I still don't have whiskers. A blade lasts me about 6 months. That is if the wife doesn't use it on the "steel-wool" she calls "leg-hair"!
