The maker of Camel cigarettes restricts smoking in its offices

It wouldn't be allowed in any business here[Mi.], to begin with. Wouldn't matter what you made.
 
With allergies like mine, it was kinda difficult to go to many places when smoking was allowed everywhere and also thought it was ironic that cigars didn't bother me but yet bothered many cig smokers. Man, I couldn't believe the push back I got whenever I lit one up lol. It was only after doing research on what was in a cig vs what was in a cigar that a light came on as to why a cig messed with my sinuses so badly. Still don't know what the exact ingredient (ingredients) that set me off are but man, there's some really bad ones in a regular cig. Not saying a cigar is good for you but most of them don't have all the chemicals that a cig does.
 
I smoked Camel Filters for at least 10 years. Loved every one of them. Could stand one right now, been off cigs since 84.
 
I quit inhaling cigarettes 20yrs ago. Now I smoke cigars all day long. Like Bill Clinton , though, I don't inhale the Cigars !!
 
I am a reformed Smoker. Yep I know we are the worse when it comes to Smoking. I hate it all, cannot stand they smell of it, and it should be banned along with the entire Tobacco industry IMHFO. There isn't any other usage for tobacco other than to smoke it so if the industry were to be eliminated then the overall health of the World would improve greatly and those out of work tobacco workers would have to change careers. That would be better in my estimation. If you still smoke, give it up. It's a killer and a vice not worth it...cr8crshr/Tuck
 
I quit smoking cigarettes when I discharged from the Air Force in '69 mostly because I was too cheap to pay 50 cents a pack for smokes. It always seems odd to me that you see homeless people begging on the street corners with a cigarette hanging out of their mouths. How the hell can they afford to smoke when they can't afford food or shelter. And they expect me to give 'em money. No f#&%ing way.
 
Do you "dip" your cigars like Slick Willy did? Was that so they would burn slower???? LOL

I never really understood why people got so pissed that others chose to smoke. Most of the information that the anti smoking groups use is false anyway, I just wish that people wouldn't get so riled up over it. I must say that despite the health risks, smoking cigars is a great way to stay warm on a cold day
 
Homeless seem to smoke major high-cost brands too. Bum under the bus has a bottle of Sky Vodka! Amazing what you will buy when someone else is footing the bill. Ashtrays are kept at my Bar, along with matches. Need a
lighter too. It is the ambiance of the time, still enjoy it without smoking. Don't grudge anyone who smokes, not including the ones who disappear every few minutes without a word. That seems kinda rude.

Runner could you provide some specifics that the Anti-Smoking Groups info is wrong? You might just find your statement to be a tad off. Having come from a Family of smokers myself it was only a matter of time before I wound up picking up the habit. And I hated it from day one but didn't have the will power until later in life to give it up. I can remember waking up in the morning on weekends to the smell of my Father chain smoking Fatima straight Turkish Cigarettes as he drank coffee and read the paper. Horrific for a small child to be exposed to. But that was their generation. Sold on the merits of how good for you it was and wouldn't cause any medical conditions as a result. We all now know that that was nothing but BS now don't we. Smoking anything is a very bad choice. And don't kid yourself either. Cigars are just as bad if not worse than cigarettes. I found that logic for justification realyy silly...cr8crshr/Tuck

I got fed up with smokers when I realized what was making me sick all the time. At work, in restaurants, in grocery stores, malls, banks, you name it. It got to where I couldn't go anywhere. The only place I had control over was on my own property. Had to go to work and had to go to the grocery store but didn't HAVE to go anywhere else. It sucked. Now the shoe is on the other foot and I can now go anywhere I want without having to breathe someones second hand smoke so now you kinda can see how I felt now that you can't smoke anywhere you want. One of my favorite lines years back was "since you're smoking, I'm sure you don't mind if I fart, right? Thanks man" Kinda miss using that one lol Thing is, I never heard of anyone having sinus problems because of 'natural gases' :D Thing is, I don't care if you smoke so long as I don't have to breath it.
 
The more I think about it - bull$hit. A lot of things are - or can be harmful. Like me doing triple digits on 25 South tomorrow on the way to Fall Fling in LA in a 45 year old Mopar. That is IF I WOULD DO that. Adults make decisions. They have to live with the consequences. Smoke em of you got em.
 
Another oddity to this story they don't mention is the manufacturer is also a sister company to one of the largest health insurance carriers in the county. Talk about irony. They have income on both ends of the cig......!
 
I HATE smoking HATE the smell but who am I to say what you can or cant do but I especially hate it when smokers cant support their own habits nothing is more annoying then do u have a cigarette? can I bum one of those off you?
