RIP. I love those commercials I loved every Marlboro I smoked too. Switched to Camel Filters after while. Quit cold turkey in 84. If copd or other bad crap develops for me it will be because I lit every one of them. Myself. Not because of the commercials. Best theme music ever.

1992, Wayne McClaren was the Marlboro man that passed from lung cancer. I guess there was more than 1 M.M.

Max Bryan "Turk" Robinson from Hugo, OK. He was the first Marlboro man in 63.. He was replaced because he quit smoking in 67. If your ever in Hugo, he is in their museum there along with Lane Frost and famous circus performers that stay there during the winter months.

I had cousin to die from lung cancer last year at age 71. He had not smoked in 30 years. The doctor said smoking had nothing to do with it, that people die every day with lung cancer that had never smoked.

Lung cancer can be a product of colon cancer. It spreads through out your body. A friend of mine survived colon cancer only to have it show up months later in his liver and Lung.

Not saying smoking is good, but it also comes down to genetics. I know people who died in their 40's of lung cancer and they were not smokers or drinkers, and have relatives in their 70's that has smoked all their adult lives and still kicking.

Heck if I die at 72, who gives crap if I smoked or not. Can't live forever and some thing going to get you sooner than later at that age.

Rest in peace. Been smoke free for 15 years. Was a lot of fun but very unhealthy.
