I attended the Mopar Big Block party last night with some friends. It's not a show for big block Mopars it's a huge block party featuring only Mopars. This happens every Thursday night before the Mopar Mile High Nationals in Denver That occurs Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Bandimere Speedway. The cars featured are by invitation only but the party is free and open to all.

There's a big stage in the middle of Golden, Colorado just 2 blocks from the Coors Brewery. The stage holds a great band and Mopar celebs. I'm going to post some pics from some of the interesting cars but let me explain first. Ron Capps, Leah Prichett and Don Schmacher were there giving out free posters and autographs. Leah is just as pretty as she looks in photographs.

Freebies were everywhere. Besides posters we got free t shirts, we got Hellcat/Demon metal water bottles, Mopar license plates, Schumacher t-shirts, Mopar and Cummings can holders, and some crazy light up cups from Pennzoil. There was a Demon hooked up to hydraulics and a video screen. When you floored it the car did a wheelie and swerved side to side. Most drivers wrecked on screen.

Some interesting cars I saw were a Charger that was bought new then put together to mirror the 2 Door concept Charger we all saw in the 2000's. A 1975 A body Super Bee from Mexico. A wide-body 1 gen Charger and a murdered out 70's Dodge Magnum. I'm leaving out a ton of details but you get the picture. It was 6 full of people and several important cars.

Sounds like some fun times. Nice rides in the pics too!

Nice. Stopped in Golden in late July 91 while driving the 69 Satellite to California. Saloons with swinging doors, sawdust on the floor. My kind of place.

The green on the Road Runner doesn't show up as good as it looked in real life. I've only seen it on a Viper before. I forget the name but it's very cool.

SteveSS, you coming up to the Mopar Show in Fort Collins August 5th?????

Hello Steve! I am actually the owner of the 69 Roadrunner. The color on it very much is the Snake Skin Green from the Viper, and unfortunately it was so cloudy and rainy the day of the Big Block Party it didn't have much time to shine in the sun haha. Anyways thank you for the shout out.

You bet. It should be a great compliment to your car that out of so many cars I chose yours to post. Not sure about Ft. Collins yet.

Now that I know who owns that Green Machine, lol, I think both you and oneyedmonkey should come up for the Fort Collins Mopar Show next weekend, August 5th! Info is posted in the car show section. I know we have some folks from Parker and the Springs that will be up for it!

Like the green RR

Again thank you so much haha this was my second time being invited up to the Big Block Party and last time I went they just happened to put the next to a Dodge Viper with the same color. I will for sure be attending the Fort Collins show coming up, my dad took his Super Bee up last year and he really enjoyed it.
