The toughest bridge in the world

I love that, "never mind, the camper fits now!"

You would think people would figure out the height of their vehicle before hauling *** around town.

We have a similar bridge here.... but most here know better...

funny ****!

I prefer them wrecking the bridges or the state removing and rebuilding or raising them.It pays the bills and helps feed the hobby.

Maybe those 5th wheelers will fit in the garage now. See, there's a bright side to everything.

You would think the truck drivers in the area would know about it! and there will always be the ones who gamble cause they never had problems before lol.. Hey Richard, better not let a guy deliver any of the cars you been getting that lives in that area!

i guess the bright flashing yellow lights dont mean anything....

Love the guy in the Ryder truck. "I'll just back up,take a different street...boss won't notice a thing...". Would love to have a scrap metal yard right there at the intersection. Brilliant!

I driven a number of hi-cube trucks in moving or helping friends move. EVERY one of them had the height painted RIGHT WHERE THE DRIVER COULD SEE IT. Illiteracy has reached staggering proportions,I guess.

Am I the only one that blames the local govt for that? I mean good God! Dig that road down a couple feet and problem solved. No....Just put up a camera for laughs....f^&kin gov'ts.

Did anyone notice that there was a small hump in the road just before going under the bridge in the one direction? It would raise the trucks up just a hair and assuredly have them make contact. Looks like an easy fix to me as well...

Bingo, we have a winner here!

Maybe there should be red and green and blue and purple warning lights added to the yellow ones, plus an air-raid siren.

So you want the govt to stop people from being stupid.. blame the govt?
There you have the dichotomy of the American people.

IMO if you are to stupid to pay attention to road signs you should not have a license and especialy a commercial license.
Only one person to blame for each accident and that is the driver of the vehicle that strikes the bridge.

Never seen so many democratic opinions on here... LMAO! Maybe some of you are coming around?

Who laid the stupid street down? Oh that's right the govt... Who spent all the money on the stupid signs, flashing lights and cameras to witness the carnage? Oh that's right the stupid govt... Instead of wasting all that money on all those warning signals and I am sure constant bridge inspections perhaps you could just lower the damn street to get a clearance that is more inline with oh IDK the crap that is on the road.

Can't the road be lowered? That would be prohibitively expensive because a sewer main runs just a few feet below the road bed. That sewer main also dates back about a hundred years and, again, at the time there were no real standards for minimum clearance for railroad underpasses.

Boohoo.... Cities, states and counties face these challenges and have for decades and yet they manage to overcome these issues all the time.

But the city did everything reasonable in this situation IMO, they put signs for 3 blocks before, they put an overheight sensor to flash the lights if the vehicle is too tall, and they lowered the speed limit to 25mph.

I'm sorry, but IMO to spend millions to fix a problem that seems to affect 12 to 15 stupid people a year as opposed to thousands who have no issues makes no sense logically or economically.
