Thanks for the laugh on a Monday morning. The following story is true. Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent.
A few years ago a "friend" bought one of those printer/scanner/fax/combo/does it all thingies. It was on sale on clearance CHEAP. It would never print right, the scanner never worked and the fax didn't exist. After about a week of messin with it, my "friend" had finally had enough. He took the printer and calmly unhooked every cable and tossed it out the back door into the yard. But he was not through. Then he grabbed his Ruger Super Blackhawk stainless 44 Magnum and emptied a whole cylinder of hollow point 44 Magnum slugs into the printer, dividing it squarely into three or four pieces....somethin like that. It sure did make me......er him feel better too.

Rusty;that's when he should have returned it with the statement: "This thing doesn't work. Is it still covered under warranty?"

And the thing about printers......you can have one that works great. Does everything it's supposed to. And hell can rise up and make it a demon possessed.

The marketing theory behind printers/copiers/faxes/whatever is to sell outrageously expensive print cartridges. If automakers used the same marketing model, you could buy a new car for $1000, but the tires would cost $1000 each and they would last for maybe a couple of months.

:iamwithstupid: DH I wish my cartridges were only $25, just my Black ink cartridge is $29 & the color ink is $54 {at Staples for single packs} but I only use like "1" of the Blk each year & "1" of the color about ever 2 years, I buy in double packs...LOL... it's an old 2000 version HP OfficeJet Scanner/Fax/Printer, everything even still works, with my new hot damn computer too, it ain't fast thou :3gears: ....
