Season 3, Episode 7 Available on Hulu.

How many of us think about these days? Many stories we all have. This episode was EXACTLY what what it was like then!

A couple of vintage Mopars featured... a Dart GT and an old Polar wagon.

My God, those were the days :)

To boot... there was a Neil Young song on the outro... "long may you run"

Let's here your stories.

It was 1970 or so.. We were looking for a new car. One time during the looking, my dad thought to look at a used 68 Mustang fastback. I remember the test drive. Us boys could barely fit in the back seat. We ended up with a full sized 68 Mercury Monterey because us boys were growing fast.

To the Mopar faithful, my family's first new car was a 65 Valiant 4 door, radio delete. Us boys were just tikes then, and it was perfect.

My parents didn't buy too many new cars, but I do remember going down to the Ford dealer and picking up our new '73 Ford Ranch Wagon on St Patrick's Day - March 17, 1973. The car was a mint (pale) green. Before that they had a Chevy wagon - I think it was a '68. That one may have been new when they got it.

Here's the car they had when I was born. 1959 Savoy. The pictures are from a cross country trip to California (from the home in Erie, PA) in 1960 - 2 and 1/2 years before I was born. And yes, those are bears in the trash cans at the campsite.

Love these pics. I was born in 73 but my dad always had mopars. He bought a new 65 barracuda S. He also had many 50’s Mopars. I grew up with a Volare wagon and a 73 duster.

I was disappointed when they traded in that 68 Polara for a "new" car which turned out to be a 68 ltd/galaxie.

Wah, wah, wa, waaaaaaaah.....

Never anything on satellite that I care to watch. I go to Hulu almost every night and watch one Hill Street blues (love the start with the mopars). I then go to NYPD Blue, then a couple of Wonder Years. Love that show.

I'm pretty sure my dad's first new car was a 65 Belvedere.

I remember that the side badges said Belvedere I on one side and Belvedere II on the other. That may be a false memory however.

haha, I was watching another episode and caught this... Mopar Carb Tips

Our family car when I was a kid was a '68 Monaco wagon. That odd color green with full
woodgrain siding.
Broke my heart when Pop traded it in on a VW bus in '73 because of the fuel crisis....
I've been looking for one like it since I don't remember when. Apparently, it was a rare critter.

My mom's first car was one of these around 1972.

It had the 8 lug brake drum/wheels, though.

Then around 1974, she got one of these.

As cool as that pontiac was, I absolutely loved everything about the Newport.

Dad brought home a brand new 1963 Dodge 880 wagon, 361 2 barrel. He'd a Ford station wagon before that. I was 13. He put the new car up on blocks in the garage and had me brush paint the entire underside with zinc-chromate primer. What a job that was. On Sunday mornings we'd get up early to check the county beaches and rest rooms. Shitty job no one else on the county maintenance crew would do, but if it paid money Dad would do it.

When we were done he'd take the car out on the freeway and open it up. I would wait all week for that speed run! Then the "don't tell your Mother" instruction on the way home.

My Dad was a Mopar guy when I was younger,
had a 4dr Dodge Phoenix,Imperial 2dr hardtop.
The best was when I was 13 he bought 62 Polara
500 !
361 w/305hp 2dr Hardtop!
