I recently removed the lower windshield stainless trim molding on my '73 Charger SE. On the underside of the moding at each of the 5 screws holes was a very thin rubber-like gasket looking material that peeled away. The shape was circular almost as if it has been a peel-n-stick material cut to a specific washer shape . Trying to figure out what it is and why its there. For vibration or just as a gasket or sealant? I've never seen it used on any other molding. Sorry didn't think at the time to take a picture. Any insight would be appreciated.

Not sure for 73, but for my 69 charger the screws for the clips had a sealant applied to the threads.
