I would like to share a new experience with you regarding re-chroming. We all know how expensive and time consuming this can be but there is an alternative that is quite remarkable. A friend of mine dropped off a set of 67 Barracuda parking lights to have the reflectors buffed in an attempt to restore them. Of course, the inner chrome was flaked and tarnished to the point that they would need to be chromed, but he did not like the idea of trying to remove and replace the 1157 light sockets. I purchased ( for $12,00 ) a piece of chrome, not silver, wrap off Amazon and here's the results. He was so pleased, he purchased a larger piece and the front bumper is next. This stuff is tough and has a brilliant shine ( just like chrome, cause it is in a way) and if the bumper gets scuffed we'll just replace the wrap.

Yes works only worry if he uses them, don't think bulb would be to hot.
Hobby shops sell sticky backed chrome foil. Before arm rest bezels were made, I use it to do my bezels (in 1986). You couldn't see it was done unless you were a foot away. They're on my car today.

Guess I forgot to mention that the car has LED bulbs front to back. Heats not an issue.Besides, the flat black wrap on one of my cars sits in the sun for hours after use and the wrap neither blisters or bubbles up. Hood temp is probably in the 250 degree range in that scenario.

I bought a couple of rolls also. Going to try it on my front bumper and some interior trim pieces.
So let me share a few rules when using wrap. 1- Cut your finger nails back. 2 - Clean your hands really well with soap and follow up with alcohol rubs on your hands. 3- Get a low output heat gun and a thermal gun. Wrap works best at 130-140 degrees surface temperature. 4- work from the center out. 5 - Don't forget to remove the thin protective top layer once contact with the surface is made. It's clear and very thin and only found on certain brands. 5 - Smooth down with an applicator or your hand inside a soft cotton sock. 6 - After application don't forget to warm the entire surface to 140 to remove memory in the freshly applied wrap and let sit for 24 hours. Be patient, take your time and good luck. You'll love the look.

I used a brand referred to as:
VViViD8 mirror chrome vinyl
3M is also excellent. You can buy it so cheap in smaller sizes that you might want to order a couple different brands and compare for your needs. This stuff has all kinds of possibilities for use.

You sure, Saw a delivery option. Signed in an shipping to my address.

I got a notice that this was not available to ship to my area. Eather way kinda expensive for what I would need it for.
