This '70 Newport is kind of a mess but it's cheap. $3,499

Sounds rusty but only 63,000 miles. Get it running and don't worry about the rust.

Salida is actually a pretty town. You can rent a Jeep and go on trails to abandoned mining towns. Just driving the highways to Salida is worth the trip. You follow the Arkansas River as it cuts canyons through the Rockies.

I used to buy those in the $100 to $500 range as parts cars,and engine donors.

Value = 1 core 383 + 1 core 727 + scrap value - nuisance = a few hundred bucks? Maybe?

Same here and still do whenever I can. Picked this New Yorker up with a 440 over 10 years ago for $1500 and still driving it today.

You don't see many New Yorker coupes like that one.
