I generally don't have anything nice to say about the Washington Capitals in general, or their fans in particular, but this lady deserves some credit for being a real fan of the game.

She gets clobbered on the noggin by a puck that made it through the glass. She gets knocked out cold and got a pretty good gash above her eye. She comes to and they're planning to take her to the hospital and she says no way! There's three minutes left in the game, the Capitals are making a comeback, and she ain't leaving.

So instead of going off to the hospital, or looking for a lawyer, like most fans would, she has the team doctor for the Boston Bruins close the wound by putting five stitches into her just like a player would on the bench, and she stays to watch the end of the game, which the Capitals ended up winning in a shoot out.

Well done Madam, well done!

Yup, a HUGE problem with our country today is too many lawyers running the show and too many people who get sucked into filing lawsuits. I mean if you go to a hockey game, there's a chance you might get hurt too....just like going to a racing event. Vote the lawyers out of office!!

Nothing but respect for this lady. Ya know there's some risk just getting out of bed in the morning (especially for me) but I'm not going to change what I'm doing because there's a little risk involved. If I did that I'd never get anything done. If you go to any sports event there's always some risk involved just sitting in the stands. If you have any brains you know that, and you have accepted that risk simply by being there or bringing your family there. I've been to countless racing events and even worked at racetracks for awhile and for the most part the track owners, promoters, and sanctioning bodies have done a good job trying to protect everyone involved. That being said, I realize that nothing is perfect and there is always some risk. You can't protect everybody from everything.

Your ticket is your agreement to accept those risks. Check your ticket. You pay your dues you take your chances.
