I'm in the process of doing a complete front suspension and underhood resto on my 72 SSP. All the parts have been media blasted and primed with a self etching primer. Now it is time to spray some color. I plan to keep the "original look". I've been looking at Eastwood's paint products and wanted to get some feedback. I would like to paint the cast iron parts with paint color similar to raw cast iron, the steel parts with a color similar to bare steel and the K member I plan to paint satin black.

Has anyone used Eastwood's products on your suspension and chassis parts and how is the product(s) holding up over time?

As far as the bare steel parts go, My book by William Hurd/ Roadrunner restorations say that a product called Stainless Steel Paint with real Stainless powder for pigment works great! You have to root around for it though. It's about $7.00/can. $T2eC16RHJHMFH!!f8J7yBRwHmqg7og~~60_3.jpg

Eastwood's ChassisBlack is my go-to black paint.... Even the rattle-can stuff holds up well. I haven't personally used thier other finishes, but based on my other experiences with thier products I'd say they're worth a try.
