I need some help with the throttle bracketry for my 440. Im in the process of converting my 69 Coronet from a small block to a big block. I have a Holley DP carb sitting on an Eddy RPM Intake. The car is 4 speed.

I dont have any of the original throttle brackets to use. I was thinking of using this Holley Aluminum bracket, https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/carburetor_components/brackets_and_linkage/parts/20-112.

Anyone have any experience with this bracket or suggest a better way to go?

Here is my current throttle cable.

I ordered one and had to do a little alteration as I remember. I don't believe anyone makes a version that will accommodate the metal "tube" on the end of the cable. I think I had to do a little cutting but once in place it looked great and had good return spring tension. https://www.ebay.com/itm/331288164269

Turns out that I did have some brackets lying around. Not sure I like the angles though. However, it will probably work till I get something else ordered.

I think I’m going to order a new throttle cable and brackets. Will look into Lokar or that Holley bracket.

I just went through this on a 68 satellite, small block car converted to 440... get the Lokar throttle cable and this kickdown cable : https://www.jegs.com/i/Lokar/625/KD-2727HT/10002/-1

And Holley part 20-2 has the stud you’ll want to have correct throttle geometry.

This combination of parts is working perfectly for me right now.

Disregard about the kickdown portion, forgot you said 4-speed... but the lokar cable and holley studs are winners.

Small block to big block might need a different cable length?

Do you happen to know the part number for the throttle cable? I can’t find a Chrysler specific cable from Lokar.

Mancini racing has wide cable selection to chose from.

The throttle cable isn’t chrysler specific, it’s universal, as is the bracket. You’ll have to trim to fit. It’s the whole cable, from pedal to carb stud.

The ball stud it comes with will fit the carb, but only in a hole that won’t give you proper 0-100% travel, so the holley stud kit will let you move to the correct hole in the carb link.

Thanks for the clarification. I ordered the following components.

Holley Carb Throttle Lever
Lokar Universal 24” Cable
Lokar Bracket

I use the Lokar cable and brackets also with my 850 DP. Ron
