Throttle cable ???

I just installed this throttle cable which is 20" long on a 1967 plymouth 383. Does it look right? It looks too long to me. There is no binding and the pedal seems to work properly. Comments please. Thanks as always.

It may be a tad too long BUT you need to pull it back so the edge of the flange catches the edge of the bracket. You have it too far in and it may pinch the cable. Move the cable from where the red arrow points to where the yellow arrow points.

They are a bit longer so that when your motor mount snaps it doesn't stay pinned to the floor
 
There should also be a flat washer between the kickdown spring and the bell crank arm.
