In changing the intake and carb on my 63 I now find that the throttle cable is about 3" to short....WTF! Guess now I need to get a longer one..damn!

I think I have my original cable from the poly 318 in the garage, would this help ya?

The one that is on the car now measures 16" from where it enters the firewall to the end of the cable..I will need one that is about 19".

The 6cyl cable is what you need.... or the Lokar as mentioned.

This is the Lokar cable on my 63 and it works great. You cut it to your size. I like the fact that the bracket and spring all bolt on the carb. Ron

Do you happen to know the length of the 6 cylinder cable?

I don't know off the top of my head but I have one burried in the garage. When I held it in place it was long enough on my 64 with an RB block & eddy manifold and carb with a little slack to spare. I heard that the 6cyl cable is long enough for max wedge applications too.

I think I have a 6cyl cable down at my shop.Mine is the short one.I was thinkin about the lokar also:icon_neutral:

I told Mancini what car I had and they gave me the right stuff. The only thing I did was use a large washer at the firewall as the size of the cable housing that sits on the firewall was close to the size of the hole and I did not want it to pull thru. The washer just reenforced it. You can just see a little bit of it in this pic at the rear of the valve cover right at the master cyl top. Ron

I am guessing its a 24" cable, next length is 36"

Just ordered the mounting bracket with springs and a cable....

Ok, here is another question..can I use my stock kick down with this cable unit???

I had the same problem, believe it or not I went to auto zone and they had something on the shelf that worked perfect. $24
