Looks good.....the doctor had a fit when he caught me filming him stitch up the top of my foot after I ripped a larger "L" in it...

:grin:eek:uch ,take care ,and that is what usually happens when showing some one either how too or not how too:grin:

I guess no more working with power equpt. in braille. The thumb was justa throbbin' away last nite that's for sure. I got up this morning my "other shoulder was sore as all get out. I'm thinkin' WTF??...... oh ya tetnus shot! Finished what we started at the shop yesterday. Checked the edge that caught me. Not jagged, not rough, just a clean flat edge...... Only thing I can think of is there musta been a burr that I graciously removed for the safety of my employees!

Man that must have hurt!
And with EVERY heartbeat it throbs a mind chiiling pain!

Yup, I "DUN" it too....

:iamwithstupid:

my Uncle lost the tip of a finger this spring, and felt the need to e mail me pics of it from the ER...

Unfortunately, I have you beat. This was me a little over 2 years ago. 3rd degree burn (with skin graft) on my chest & 2nd degree on my arm. The leg is where they took the donor skin from.....

I'm kinda wondering how these injuries happened....

BIGSHCLUNK Ouch! Hopefully Obama Care will Cover That?, Cranium, Wow did they get you to talk? Or it Looks like Hillary was a little Rough on you?

Without getting into too much details, the short story is gasoline vapors & flame= bad news. This bit of carelessness netted me 8 days in the hospital burn unit & another year & a half of subsequent hospital visits & treatments. Let me tell you that there was more pain and discomfort than you can ever imagine. Now, nearly 2 1/2 year later, I'm 99% back to normal, but the burn scars on my arm are still evident & always will be there. If it wasn't for my hairy chest, the skin graft would stick out like a sore thumb and my leg still shows some discoloration where they took the donor skin from. That was not a fun time in my life at all.

I no what the burns are like and watch out going into sun from now on or being by some high heat

Isnt that your cousin Cranium.... Dick Burns... ?

I wouldn't wish that on anyone and I'm glad you are doing fine now and still have your (special) sense of humor Richard.

You got me beat that's for sure! Although that's not my most worst act of self inflicted stupidity. There was about a 3 years period where my wife wouldn't allow a wood chisel in the house. This was a very very bad situation and has had consequences to this day. But gas burn.... that's death defying. Had it happen at the shop once long long ago. Not good.............

I had to drive my buddy to the hospital the other night after a little mishap. Didn't get the injury in as flamboyant manor as some on here. After quite a few beers one evening he thought he'd have a bagel but just didn't know when to stop cutting through it.

I'm glad I don't have a hang over while looking at some of this! lol I've had a few burns and been too close to too many fires but never had to have and grafts done but man, I know what it's like getting a bad sunburn and having to go to work the next day in a steel mill! I can only imagine what that would be like after 3rd degree burns. So far I've been lucky to not have anything major happen except for 'minor' stitches but I've been banged around some. The worse was when I rolled a go-cart on a 29 degree banking and it was concrete. Man, never in my life had I heard so much noise from metal banging on concrete! Don't know if I closed my eyes or what but I don't remember seeing any of it but sure heard it happening. I've stuffed a few dirt bikes but nothing like that. It beat the snot out of me and messed up my back too.
