I, have an original TIC TOC TACH and need to know which terminal on the back of the tach is for the COIL and which is for the POWER

The back has a LONG terminal on the top part of the back side
and a SHORT terminal near the bottom side.

Any one know which terminal is which

Thanks

On my '68 the coil was attached to the lower spade terminal. The upper terminal supplies the power.

Thanks, I, am going to hook it up today if all goes well.

I know I responded too late but heres it goes anyways,

the spade terminal on all Mopar tachs is the signal, gray wire (-coil) and the long stud is keyed power (usually a blue wire going to fuse block)
case is ground.
I would have recommended checking it under the hood 1st,with jumper wires,to the battery, long stud to positive, case to ground, spade terminal to negative side of coil,

and have someone hold wires away from fan, and start, and see if it moves when you rev the engine, chances are if it's original it won't work, this would save you the trouble of having to take it out again, I used to work at:
"Red Line gauge works" we probably converted 15-20 of these tachs year, using modern internals, give them a call if you have any problems, ask for Shannon.
