tic tok tack

Hello all just wondering why my tic tok tack has no red markings on the tack is this normal for an original tacko ? At first i thought it had faded off but no sign's of red at all and now i just spotted an original tack on eBay without the red line also which got me thinking why

Here is a used tach I picked up 20 years ago and a picture of my restored cluster. Face was red from 5 grand on.

I don't remember seeing one that didn't have a redline.

If you look at the photo closely what you see on the 5 is a reflection as it has the same reflection on the 3 down mark as well
